From registration to surgery

You will receive a written acknowledgement of the appointments for your counselling talk, your surgery, and accommodation a few days after the registration. Moreover, you will get a detailed list of all costs and information on how you can get to the clinic.

Preparations

You need a blood count and an ECG for all surgeries. Your GP can provide both. Please bring the findings with you (it should not be older than two weeks). These examinations are important in order to make sure that you are capable of getting a surgery. It is also possible to have these examinations in hospital, however if the findings are negative it is possible that you cannot have your surgery. If you are older than 40 you need a complete blood count and an ECG. With surgery of the female breast you additionally need a mammography.

Generally, 2-4 weeks before the surgery, you should reduce smoking and avoid drinking alcohol. Moreover, during this time you should not take anticoagulants (Aspirin, acetylsalicylic acid containing drugs). Women should make sure, that they do not have their menstruation on the day of the surgery. 3 weeks before the surgery the birth control pill must be discontinued.

Counselling talks and the surgery

One precondition for a surgery is a counselling talk between you and your doctor. This takes place on the day of your arrival, usually one day before the surgery. You are informed in detail about how the surgery is done, possible risks and complications and about perceptions after the surgery. Only after this talk you should make your final decision about the surgery.

In any case all necessary preparations for the surgery (reservation of the surgery theatre, reservations of a bed in hospital, anaesthesiologist) are made on the day of your arrival. To guarantee the agreed on surgery date for both sides, please transfer 20% of the costs four weeks before the surgery date to the following German bank account:

In case you decide not to have the surgery after the counselling talk, we reimburse you immediately for the costs, apart from a cancellation fee of 50. - euros (40.- pounds) In case you cannot have the surgery for medical reason, we reimburse you immediately for your full down payment.

Only when you have decided after the counselling talk to have the surgery, the rest of the costs (80%) for the surgery, drugs, examinations, compression clothing, and the stay in hospital are charged in cash on the spot. The treatment is then conducted on the agreed on day.

Also after the surgery, the team of aesthetic-surgery is available for you, if you have any questions or suggestions. We would be particularly glad to receive a feedback from you about how you did feel after the surgery and during your stay in hospital. .
